The trial is part of setup, and billing problems show at the top
Starting the 7-day free trial is now the last step of setup, and a banner at the top of the dashboard says when billing has paused writing and fixes it in one click.
Setup now has four steps: your brand, your keywords, your content plan, then the 7-day free trial. A card is required, so your first articles start writing as soon as setup ends instead of waiting for you to find the trial later.
If a card check or a payment fails, article writing pauses and a banner at the top of every dashboard page says so. Update the card from the banner and Rankbox checks it again, or pays what’s owed, the moment you come back.
- One step, not a hunt
- The trial used to start from the first Generate click. It’s now the last step of setup, with your plan and its projected traffic beside the card form.
- Updating the card lifts the pause
- Before, a new card didn’t re-run the $1 card check. Now it does, with your bank’s approval step in the page if it asks for one.
- Writing stops when a payment fails
- Manual writing, autopilot and the editor’s AI actions all pause from the first failed payment, and the banner shows the fix. Nothing you’ve set up is lost.
- One free trial per account
- Restarting a plan that has ended is $49.50 a month from the first day.
