10 Best Outrank Alternatives in 2026 (Full Costs Checked)

Outrank alternatives priced on the full bill, not the $99 headline: add-ons, article length, 60- and 90-article costs, links, and when to stay put.

The short answer

The best Outrank alternatives in 2026 are Rankbox for the same 30-article daily autopilot at $49.50 a month, RankYak or RankPill for longer articles at Outrank's own $99, and BabyLoveGrowth or Arvow if you want AI answer tracking on the same bill. SEObot suits sites that need some number other than 30 a month. Soro has the lowest monthly price.

Outrank's headline is simple: one plan, $99 a month or $999 a year, for 30 articles on one site. The bill often isn't. Better images, extra volume, human editing, and faster link building are priced separately, and that's where most Outrank alternatives win or lose on cost.

We mean outrank.so, formerly ContentPie, not Outranking (outranking.io), a different writing tool some lists confuse with it.

All prices were checked on 23 September 2026 on each vendor's pricing page, and per-article figures for tools sold by credits or words are our arithmetic. We make Rankbox and list it first. The other nine are ordered by fit for someone leaving Outrank, and we say where Outrank stays the better buy.

Key Takeaways

  • Outrank's All-in-One plan is $99 a month, or $999 a year (about $83.25 a month), for 30 articles on one site. With premium images and the entry link plan, the same 30 articles cost $347.
  • Rankbox covers the 30-a-month job for $49.50, about $1.65 an article, billed monthly.
  • The closest Outrank alternatives, RankYak and RankPill, also charge $99. Move to them for longer articles or Reddit drafts, not a smaller bill.
  • Paid a year up front, BabyLoveGrowth ($49 a month) and Arvow Solo ($39) cost less than Rankbox.
  • Outrank states 1,200 to 1,700 words an article; Rankbox writes about 2,750, SEObot about 3,000, and RankYak up to 5,000.
  • At 60 or 90 articles on one site, Outrank's add-ons cost less per article than SEObot or Byword. Rankbox stops at 30 a site.

What Outrank's $99 Buys, and What Costs Extra

Outrank sells one public core plan. Its pricing page lists it at $99 a month beside a struck-through $200, or $999 a year.

Outrank's pricing page on 23 September 2026: the All-in-One plan at $99 a month.
Outrank's pricing page on 23 September 2026: the All-in-One plan at $99 a month.
Line itemPriceWhat it adds
All-in-One plan$99 a month, or $999 a year30 articles on one site, AI images, YouTube embeds, every integration, the backlink exchange, unlimited users
Premium Images+$49 a monthA better image model and style presets
60 or 90 articles a month+$85 or +$160 a monthTwo or three articles a day on one site
Backlink plans$199, $899, or $1,899 a monthExtra link credits; the $899 plan is 1,400 credits
Human Curated Service$1,399 a monthEditors review and fact-check every article

Nothing on that list is required. The catch is links: the included exchange promises no set number, so buyers who want links sooner are steered to the paid plans. Take 30 articles, premium images, and the $199 link plan: $99 + $49 + $199 = $347 a month, about $11.57 an article by our arithmetic. If that's how you'd run Outrank, $347 is the figure to hold Outrank alternatives against.

You can see keyword research and draft articles before paying, but trial articles carry a watermark, and no trial length is stated. First-time subscribers get 7 days from the first payment to ask for a full refund, per Outrank's terms. On Trustpilot it scored 3.6 from 83 reviews on 21 September 2026, and the one-star reviews often mention cancelling.

The $99 never buys AI visibility tracking. Outrank's alternatives page calls a rival's AI visibility dashboard "a real extra we do not sell as a product," and its free AI Page Inspector checks single URLs. Ongoing tracking means a second bill; Surfer's standalone AI Search Analytics plan, for one, is $95 a month for 50 prompts. Rankbox doesn't monitor citations yet either; our free AI Visibility Prompt Kit gives you 30 buyer prompts to test by hand.

Word Count Is a Cost, Too

Outrank's homepage promises a "minimum length of 1,200-1,700 words," and its agencies page says the same. For many queries that's the right size. It matters when the pages ranking for a topic run long, and several Outrank alternatives aim longer.

ToolStated length
Outrank1,200 to 1,700 words
RankboxAbout 2,750 by default
SEObotAbout 3,000 on average
RankYakUp to 5,000, sized to the search
RankPill"3,000+" on the plan card; FAQ median 1,800 to 2,400 for informational queries

Price per word is a blunt measure, but it shows what the $99 buys: 36,000 to 51,000 words a month, about $1.94 to $2.75 per 1,000. Rankbox's 30 articles come to roughly 82,500 words, about $0.60 per 1,000. Length should follow what the searcher needs, so read samples first and use words per dollar only to break a tie.

Outrank Alternatives, Priced for 30 Articles a Month

This table puts all ten Outrank alternatives on the same footing: about 30 articles a month for one site. Asterisks mark our arithmetic.

Figure 1. What each Outrank alternative costs a month on monthly billing, checked on 23 September 2026.

Billed monthly, only Soro beats Rankbox per article. Billed yearly, four do: Soro, Arvow, RightBlogger, and BabyLoveGrowth. But a yearly plan is a bet on a tool you've used for days, so our cheap SEO guide suggests paying monthly until one earns its place. Check what each price leaves out, too: Soro and SEOTakeoff list no backlinks, and Arvow Solo has neither links nor tracking.

Like-for-Like Outrank Alternatives

Most pages ranking for "Outrank alternatives" recommend writing tools; Surfer SEO and Jasper each appeared on 8 of the 13 lists we could read. With those, you still write or edit every article, so see our Surfer SEO alternatives for that route.

Every pick below plans, writes, and publishes with little input, shows its prices, and is still sold in 2026. We read their pricing pages, docs, and terms from 21 to 23 September. These first four keep Outrank's shape: about 30 articles a month on one site.

1. Rankbox: Outrank's daily loop for $49.50

Rankbox does what most people buy Outrank for, a researched article a day on one site, at half the price: $49.50 a month for 30 articles, about $1.65 each, billed monthly. It's our product, so hold this entry to a higher bar.

Research starts from your site, not a keyword list: answer-space research maps the questions your buyers ask Google and AI assistants, with demand estimated by AI, not read from a keyword database. The citation-ready writer then studies what currently ranks and writes about 2,750 words: answer first, an FAQ, inline citations, and a References list. Any draft that fails an SEO check is rewritten until it clears the SEO and GEO score, in a brand voice taken from your site that you can edit.

Articles arrive on a weekly cadence, up to one a day, via the Rankbox publishing API, which a developer sets up once. Plugins for WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, and Square are in development; Outrank connects to ten destinations today. Paid plans add Reddit reply drafts (you do the posting) and a backlink exchange, both rolling out as of September 2026. The research tools also run inside 49 AI tools, such as Claude and Cursor, through one MCP link.

You give up live volume data, native CMS connectors, Shopify catalog sync, refreshes of older posts, more than 30 articles a site, team seats (one login per account), and AI citation monitoring, which isn't live yet. Payments aren't refunded except for billing errors or where the law requires, so start with the 7-day trial: it needs a card and writes up to 7 articles. Extra sites are $49.50 a month each. Rankbox vs Outrank has the full comparison.

2. RankYak: longer articles, same $99

If Outrank's model suits you and only the depth bothers you, RankYak changes the least. The bill stays at $99 a month per site, or $82.50 yearly, for 30 articles on days you pick. But each article is sized to its query, up to 5,000 words, working from the pages that rank today, with citations.

Search Console refreshes of weak articles are included. So is a backlink exchange that risk-checks every member and lets any one site link to you only once a month. The only paid extra is Site Guard, another $99 a month for a daily Search Console check of pages you already have. It publishes to ten platforms, from WordPress to Next.js, plus Zapier, Make, and a REST API.

You can try it free for 3 days; after that, its terms rule out refunds for unused time. Outrank keeps two edges: 150+ languages to RankYak's 40+, and multi-site discounts, where RankYak charges $99 for every added site.

3. RankPill: Reddit drafts and a cheaper first month

RankPill sells almost Outrank's bundle at Outrank's price, yet none of the 13 lists we read mentioned it. One Business plan covers 30 articles for one site at $99 a month, $89 a month on quarterly billing, or $990 a year. Its pricing page now shows 50% off the first month: $49.50, then $99 a month.

The addition is Reddit, and it works today. RankPill finds threads ranking in Google for your keywords and drafts a reply to each, which you edit and post. It aims longer than Outrank, as the length table above shows. Volume and difficulty data come from DataForSEO, it writes in 100+ languages, and it has native connectors for WordPress, Webflow, Wix, and Shopify.

Two cautions. Its terms rule out refunds in every case, and no free trial is listed. And on its exchange, a link costs as many credits as the linking site's Domain Rating, so 30 monthly credits aren't 30 links; packs of 500 or 1,500 cost $249 or $799 a month. AI visibility is still "Coming soon," and Trustpilot rated it 2.8 from 30 reviews on 21 September 2026. See Rankbox vs RankPill or RankPill alternatives.

4. BabyLoveGrowth: AI prompt tracking in the base plan

BabyLoveGrowth builds the thing Outrank doesn't sell into its entry plan. Grow pairs 30 articles a month with daily tracking of 10 prompts in ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, on a visibility and citation dashboard. Monthly it's $99, but the page defaults to yearly billing at $49 a month. That buys articles and tracking for less than Outrank charges for articles alone.

Outrank users will recognize the rest: Shopify catalog sync, auto-publishing to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, and eight more platforms, a link exchange it says spans "4,000+ partner sites," and Reddit and Quora agents.

Weigh commitment and proof. The $49 rate needs a year up front, Grow has one seat, and tracking skips Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. The 90-day money-back guarantee applies only after three paid months, with all articles published and zero growth. Trustpilot has pulled its rating over incentivized reviews (seen 23 September 2026), while the pricing page still displays "Trustpilot 4.7/5."

When 30 a Month Is the Wrong Number

Outrank is built around 30 articles per site. The next three Outrank alternatives are built around a credit pool, a budget across client sites, or a spreadsheet.

5. SEObot: one credit pool across several sites

SEObot sells credits, not a daily slot. Its plans run from $49 for 9 articles to $1,050 for 300, billed monthly. Credits never expire and can be shared across websites, so one plan can feed a small portfolio.

Articles average about 3,000 words with images, links, and YouTube embeds, but the length isn't yours to set. Programmatic pages, news articles, and YouTube-to-article are on every plan, and it publishes to eight platforms, Notion and HubSpot among them.

Per article, every tier costs more than Outrank's $3.30. Nothing sits at 30: 20 articles cost $99 and 50 cost $199, with no annual price. It only works on articles it wrote, so your older posts are left alone, and its backlinks are "a bonus" with no promised count. The $49 plan is fully refundable if the first article disappoints. More in Rankbox vs SEObot and SEObot alternatives.

6. Arvow: one budget for five client sites

Arvow, known as Journalist AI until 2025, appears on more Outrank alternatives lists than any other autopilot. Its Solo plan gives one website 1,000 credits a month for $69, or $39 a month on a yearly bill. Each article uses 15 credits and a standard AI image adds 1, so 30 illustrated articles take 480 credits. By our arithmetic, that's roughly $2.30 apiece monthly or $1.30 yearly.

For agencies, Business costs $169 a month, or $69 on yearly billing, for five websites and 3,000 credits. It adds the link exchange and AI visibility tracking in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Grok. The same five sites on Outrank cost $420.75 a month after its 15% discount, by our arithmetic. Both write in 150+ languages.

Expect to keep books: articles, images, extra links, and tracking prompts at 6 credits each share one pool that resets monthly, per the credit docs. The yearly prices sit under a limited-time sale label, no trial is listed, and refunds apply only to yearly renewals. Its Trustpilot score stood at 2.6 from 50 reviews on 23 September 2026.

7. Byword: batches and programmatic pages

After Surfer and Jasper, Byword is the tool these lists name most, and it's here for volume from a spreadsheet. Its programmatic tool fills page templates from a CSV, Google Sheet, or Airtable base for city-by-service or comparison pages, and campaigns turn a keyword list into a batch.

Five free articles need no card. Starter is $99 a month or $990 a year for 25 articles, extras are $3.50, and credits never expire, per its billing docs. Thirty articles on Starter therefore cost $116.50 a month; Standard is $299 for 80. Drafts run 1,000 to 3,000+ words with a live SEO score, and paid plans publish to Medium, HubSpot, Ghost, Webflow, and WordPress.

Byword documents no mode that picks a topic and publishes daily; its scheduler spaces out drafts you've already made. It sells no links or Reddit tools, and AI tracking means a separate Trakkr account. Each programmatic page should add something, since mass-producing pages that add nothing is what Google calls scaled content abuse. See Rankbox vs Byword.

Cheaper Outrank Alternatives With a Narrower Scope

Each costs less than Outrank or lets you test free, in exchange for a smaller product.

8. RightBlogger: a writing toolkit with a 30-day refund

RightBlogger ranks near the top of this search with its own list of Outrank alternatives, putting itself first, as vendor lists do, ours included. It's a toolkit of 90+ writing and SEO tools with an autoblogging module, a fit for Outrank users who were editing every article anyway.

It has the gentlest terms here: a free tier with 2,000 words a month, a 7-day trial that charges nothing up front, and a 30-day money-back promise it calls "no questions asked." Solo costs $59 a month or $49 yearly for unlimited AI words, Search Console reports, social sharing, a link exchange, and an AI Brand Monitor covering Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and ChatGPT.

The throttles are deliberate. Solo runs one automation, queues up to 30 posts, and publishes at most five a day per site, and the brand monitor gets 25 checks per site a month. Article length isn't stated.

9. SEOTakeoff: three articles before you pay

SEOTakeoff lets you read the output before paying anything. Its pricing page gives you three free articles without a card, then a launch deal: $9 for the first month and $69 a month after that, for 30 articles. That's $30 a month under Outrank.

Each article draws on a knowledge base of your own expertise, cites sources, and must clear an SEO score and an answer-engine score. Like Outrank, it refreshes older posts from Search Console. It publishes to eight platforms, from WordPress to Sanity, and promises "Pages index in 30 days or your money back."

No links or AI tracking are listed. The About page describes a one-person company, which matters for support, and the "Founding member" price may not last.

10. Soro: $39 for a post every morning

Soro has the lowest monthly price here: $39, or $216 a year through its Shopify App Store listing. It drafts a new post each morning for you to approve, edit, or let go live. It covers keyword research, links, images, brand voice, and 50+ languages, and publishes to Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Next.js, and others. On Trustpilot it held 4.7 from 1,110 reviews on 23 September 2026.

Compared with Outrank, you drop links, AI tracking, Search Console refreshes, and any stated article length. Plans above $39 aren't priced publicly; the FAQ promises "anywhere from 30 to unlimited articles per month." Its money-back guarantee runs 14 days but lapses once more than 14 articles have been generated, and claiming it means taking the articles down.

Past 30 Articles: The 60- and 90-Article Math

Outrank's volume add-ons get cheaper per article as you climb. Rankbox stops at 30 articles a site, as do the plans of several Outrank alternatives here, including RankYak, RankPill, and SEOTakeoff. For two or three posts a day on one site, compare these. Asterisks mark our arithmetic.

Tool60 articles on one site90 articles on one site
Outrank$184 ($3.07 each)$259 ($2.88 each)
SEObot$499 for 100 credits ($4.99 each)$499 for 100 credits ($4.99 each)
Byword$221.50, Starter plus 35 extras ($3.69 each)*$329, Standard plus 10 extras ($3.66 each)*
Arvow$69, Solo credits for about 62 illustrated articles ($1.11 each)*$169, Business ($1.88 each)*

At both volumes, Outrank costs less per article than SEObot or Byword. SEObot's unused credits carry over, but its real case is several sites on one pool, not one big site. Arvow comes out lowest, as long as every credit goes to articles and one standard image, which leaves nothing for links or tracking.

Volume only helps if the topics are winnable, so check keyword difficulty and topical authority first. Two articles on one query also compete with each other, which is keyword cannibalization.

Outrank's included exchange pays you in credits for hosting other members' links. In its words, "You earn them by letting Outrank place a relevant link in the articles it writes for you," and sites with a higher Domain Rating (DR) earn more per hosted link. Outrank says it verifies placements; the number of links isn't fixed.

The Backlink Scale Plan on Outrank's backlinks page is $899 a month for 1,400 credits, and "A DR 60 blog costs 240 credits, a DR 30 one costs 120." That's about five DR 60 placements or 11 DR 30 placements a month, roughly $77 to $154 a link by our arithmetic. Unspent credits roll over.

Google's spam policies list "excessive link exchanges" as link spam, and treat links bought for ranking as link spam unless marked rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow". Most Outrank alternatives on this list run an exchange too (Rankbox's is rolling out), and several, Outrank among them, sell link plans on top. Before paying, ask each vendor how placements are marked, and weigh the risk against what the links are worth.

Questions to put to any exchange:

  • Direct swaps? Two sites linking to each other is the pattern Google names.
  • Placement? Links belong inside real articles on related sites, not footers.
  • Verification? Credits should move only after a link is live.
  • Links, not credits: how many does a site like yours get a month?

Rankbox's exchange, rolling out on paid plans, is designed around the first three: no direct swaps, topic-matched placements inside articles, and credits that move only once a link is verified live. Paid plans get 30 credits a month, and a placed link costs 1 to 3 credits, set by the host site's tier. Treat any exchange as a supplement to real backlinks from partners, customers, and press.

Reasons to Keep Paying Outrank

Some of Outrank's strengths are things most Outrank alternatives on this list don't offer in one place. Stay if one of these describes you:

  1. You sell on Shopify. Outrank syncs your catalog, writes around real products, links to product and collection pages, and turns product photos into lifestyle images.
  2. You run client sites. One dashboard, unlimited users, discounts up to 20%, and a REST API and CLI.
  3. You need 60 or 90 articles on one site, or many languages. The add-ons beat SEObot and Byword per article, and it writes in 150+ languages.
  4. You want human editors or an unusual CMS. The Human Curated Service is $1,399 a month, and its integrations include Notion, Ghost, Framer, WordPress.com, and a Next.js starter.

It also maintains its own work. Some 2026 lists say Outrank only writes new posts, but its Article Improvements feature rewrites slipping articles from Search Console data, up to two a week, without using article credits.

If you move to one of these Outrank alternatives, your articles stay on your site. Check in Search Console which ones earn clicks and keep their URLs; our redirect generator writes 301s if one must move. Article Improvements stops when you cancel, so decide who will refresh slipping posts before content decay sets in.
