The short answer
The best Jasper alternatives in 2026 depend on which of Jasper's jobs you need covered, because no single tool does them all. For SEO articles that arrive without anyone prompting, Rankbox costs $49.50 a month for 30. For ads and email, Anyword scores copy before it runs. WRITER is the nearest match for governed enterprise content, and ChatGPT Business and Claude Team sell everyday seats at $25.
Jasper has pointed itself at enterprises. Pro costs $69 a month and stops at one seat, so a second person means a custom Business contract.
We make Rankbox, which is why it's listed first, and it covers only the article slice of Jasper's work. Every price was checked on 23 September 2026 on the vendor's own site. The Jasper alternatives are grouped by job, so jump to the group that matches how your team used Jasper.
Key Takeaways
- Jasper Pro is $69 a month, or $59 billed yearly, for one seat at most. More people, GEO Hub, Grid, and the API need a custom Business plan.
- Pick Jasper alternatives by job: SEO articles, channel copy, governance, everyday writing, or AI search tracking.
- Rankbox takes only the article job: 30 articles for $49.50 a month, and no ads, email, or social posts.
- Five people cost $29 a month on Copy.ai Chat (chat only) and $125 on ChatGPT Business or Claude Team.
- Writesonic ($99) and Frase ($49) track AI search answers without a sales call.
- Copy.ai now belongs to Fullcast and WRITER shows no price, so older lists of Jasper alternatives are out of date.
Jasper in 2026: One Seat, Then a Sales Call
Jasper now calls itself "the marketing agents platform, built to help enterprises orchestrate AI agents." Its pricing page shows two plans, and the Creator plan that older reviews quote is gone.

Pro is $69 a month, or $59 billed yearly. The help center is blunt: "Our Pro plan is limited to 1 seat." It buys the Canvas workspace, agents for core marketing workflows, 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets, 3 Audiences, and a few AI-search writing agents such as a Query Planner. The 7-day trial takes a card, with no charge if you cancel during it, and refund requests must come within 7 days of a charge.
Business is custom-priced, and its plans "begin with a 12 month commitment." That's where you'll find extra seats, Grid for bulk content, Studio for building agents, the API and MCP server, the Research and Optimization agents, and GEO Hub. Several run on credits: a GEO Hub query or page run costs 10 credits, and Jasper doesn't publish what a credit costs in dollars.
GEO Hub launched on 16 June 2026. It tracks brand presence, citation rate, share of voice, and sentiment across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. At least two ranking lists of Jasper alternatives still say Jasper has no AI visibility tracking. It does, just not on Pro.
Publishing is mostly up to you. Jasper downloads Word, PDF, text, and Markdown files and exports to Google Drive, SharePoint, and Box. Its only CMS app is for Webflow, and WordPress runs through Zapier or Make. Drafting in Jasper and polishing in Surfer is over too, since Surfer's page now reads "Jasper integration is no longer available."
eesel AI's review names the main complaint: "a single-seat Pro plan that forces teams into a custom contract." It also cites "output that reads generic without heavy editing," a risk with any AI writer, and notes that "plain old ChatGPT quietly replaces Jasper for a surprising number of teams."
Which Part of Jasper's Job Are You Replacing?
Sort last month's Jasper projects by job. The biggest pile tells you where to start, and many teams find two piles and end up with two tools. Here are these Jasper alternatives in short, with the least each costs on monthly billing.
| Your main Jasper job | Start with | From, monthly | For that price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blog posts nobody has time to write | Rankbox | $49.50 | 30 articles |
| Blog posts your team edits | Frase or Surfer | $49 or $59 | 10 articles or Documents |
| Ads, email, landing pages | Anyword | $49 | 1 seat |
| Shared brand context | Copy.ai | $29 | 5 chat seats |
| Quick copy, solo | Rytr | $9 | 1 user, unlimited |
| Governance at scale | WRITER | Not published | Up to 5 users on Starter |
| Everyday writing | ChatGPT Business or Claude Team | $50 | 2 seats, the minimum |
| AI search tracking | Writesonic | $99 | 50 prompts, 15 articles |
| Reference | Jasper Pro | $69 | 1 seat, the maximum |
How this list was built
We read the 13 top-ranking lists of Jasper alternatives. Ten came from a vendor listing its own product, and eight ranked it first, as we do with Rankbox. Each pick here does a real part of Jasper's job, is sold in 2026 as the product it is now, and publishes prices or says they're by quote. Hypotenuse AI (now ecommerce software), Wordtune (a rewriting helper), and Peppertype.ai (now redirecting to Pepper's services site) didn't qualify. We didn't rank output quality, and seat and per-article figures are our arithmetic.
Jasper Alternatives for SEO Articles
These three take over the blog side of Jasper, from fully handed off to fully edited by your team.
1. Rankbox: the blog written and delivered for you
Rankbox replaces one slice of Jasper, the long-form SEO articles. It writes no ads, email, social posts, landing pages, or product descriptions, so if those are most of your Jasper work, the other Jasper alternatives below fit better.
The change is who does the prompting. In Jasper, someone briefs an agent, edits the result, and gets it into your CMS. Rankbox starts from your website. Its answer-space research works out what your buyers ask Google and AI assistants, with demand estimated by AI, not taken from a keyword database. Its citation-ready writer studies the pages ranking for each question today and drafts an answer-first article of about 2,750 words, ending in an FAQ, with sources cited in the text and in a References list. Drafts use the brand voice Rankbox takes from your site, which you can edit. Any failed SEO check sends a draft back for another pass until it clears the SEO and GEO score.
- Cost: $49.50 a month for 30 articles on one site, roughly $1.65 each. Each extra site is $49.50. There's no yearly plan.
- Delivery: weekly, up to one a day, through the Rankbox publishing API, which a developer wires up once. Plugins for WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, and Square are in development; until they ship, the API is how articles arrive.
- In your AI tools: one MCP link adds its research tools to 49 AI tools, ChatGPT and Claude included, for research rather than publishing.
- Rolling out on paid plans as of September 2026: a backlink exchange, and Reddit reply drafts you post yourself.
What a Jasper team gives up: one login per account with no team invites yet, no live AI citation monitoring, and voice settings that shape Rankbox's own articles rather than a whole team's work the way Jasper IQ does. Subscriptions are non-refundable except for billing errors or where the law requires, so judge it in the 7-day trial, which takes a card and writes up to 7 articles. The Rankbox vs Jasper page compares the two feature by feature.
2. Frase: research, drafting, and scoring for teams that edit
Frase suits a team that used Jasper for blog drafts but wants writers in charge. Jasper users will recognize Brand Hub, which stores your tone, audience, samples, and the terms you prefer or ban.
Billed as "the content operating system for AI search," it studies what ranks, turns that into a brief, writes a draft, and grades it for SEO, GEO, and E-E-A-T, Google's shorthand for experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness. It also tracks AI answers, publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, and Wix, and includes an API and MCP server on every plan.
Seats are where it beats Jasper Pro. Starter is $49 a month, or $39 yearly, for one seat, one site, 10 articles, and 50 tracked prompts in ChatGPT and Google AI. Professional is $129, or $103 yearly, for three seats, five sites, 40 articles, Perplexity tracking, a content calendar, and internal-link suggestions. Extra seats are $29 a month, so five people pay $187. Scale is $299, or $239 yearly, for 100 articles.
Starter's articles cost $4.90 each on monthly billing, and Frase states no target length. Its terms say "All fees paid are final, and we do not provide any refunds," so use the 7-day trial, which doesn't ask for a card. See our Frase alternatives.
3. Surfer: the optimization half of the old pairing
If you wrote in Jasper and scored in Surfer, only the Surfer half is still on offer. It turned up on 7 of the 13 lists of Jasper alternatives we read.
Surfer, styled "Positive Surfer" since Positive Group bought it in October 2025, is an editor. It shows the terms and structure top pages share and grades your draft from 0 to 100, blending an SEO score with an AI Search score. Surfer AI can draft inside the editor, but a person still shapes each piece. Scheduled publishing isn't its job.
Its seat ladder is kinder to teams than Jasper's:
- Discovery, in a "Start smaller" section lower on the pricing page: $59 a month, or $49 yearly, for one seat and 10 Documents a month. It has no AI tracker, keyword research, or integrations.
- Standard: $119, or $99 yearly, for three seats, 30 Documents a month, WordPress and Google Docs integrations, and weekly tracking of 25 ChatGPT prompts.
- Pro: $219, or $182 yearly, for five seats and daily tracking across five AI models.
A Document is one editor you open. The 7-day trial unlocks Pro, takes a card, and becomes a paid plan unless you cancel. Rivals are in our Surfer SEO alternatives.
Jasper Alternatives for Ads, Email, and Social Copy
Channel copy is where Jasper alternatives get cheapest, from performance-scored ads down to a $9 plan for one person.
4. Anyword: copy scored before it goes live
Anyword is for performance marketers. Before an ad, subject line, or headline ships, it predicts how each variant will do from A/B-test data, so you run the likelier winner. It claims 82% accuracy at picking the better of two variants (Anyword's own figure). Around that sit unlimited copy, brand voice rules, 100+ templates, CSV bulk generation, 30+ languages, and a Chrome extension.
For a team. Starter is $49 a month, or $39 yearly, for one seat, one brand voice, and 50 predictions a month (100 on yearly billing). Data-Driven is $99, or $79 yearly, for three seats. More seats are $59 a month each, up to 10, so five people pay $217. Business is custom, and it's the plan that learns from your channel data and connects to Meta Ads, Google Ads, HubSpot, and Marketo.
Where it stops. Long-form SEO isn't the focus. Its CMS integrations are Sitecore and Drupal, and it doesn't track AI search. The 7-day trial caps at 2,500 words, and cancelled subscriptions aren't refunded. It showed 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 5,207 reviews and 4.8 on Capterra from 391, both seen on 23 September 2026.
5. Copy.ai: five chat seats for $29
Copy.ai's Chat plan is the cheapest way on this list to seat a team: $29 a month, or $24 yearly, for five seats. That's $5.80 a seat by our arithmetic, with unlimited chat words and models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini. Brand Voice learns your tone from past content, a workspace can hold any number of voices, and Infobase keeps your style guide, positioning, and personas on hand.
It isn't the Copy.ai that 12 of the 13 lists of Jasper alternatives describe, though. Fullcast, a revenue-operations company, announced it had acquired Copy.ai in October 2025, and the homepage now reads "The First AI-Native GTM Platform." Templates became chat with a prompt library, and the free plan was sunset.
Before you move a team:
- Chat has no workflow credits. Workflows, which chain research, writing, and translation, start on Growth at $1,000 a month, billed yearly as $12,000.
- No specific CMS connector is named, AI search tracking isn't offered, and the public changelog stops in June 2025.
- Trustpilot showed 1.8 out of 5 from 196 reviews on 23 September 2026, with some recent reviews citing login and support problems. Capterra showed 4.4 from 67 reviews dated 2023 to 2025.
- Refunds come as a 5-day money-back guarantee.
6. Rytr: the $9 plan for one person
Rytr is for the solo marketer who used Jasper's old templates for quick copy. There's no team plan. It has 40+ use cases, from emails and captions to meta titles and calls to action, plus 20+ preset tones and Tone Match, which writes in your voice.
A free plan covers 10,000 characters a month. Unlimited is $9 a month, or $7.50 yearly, with one Tone Match and 50 plagiarism checks. Premium is $29, or $24.16 yearly, and adds more Tone Matches, 35+ languages, and custom use cases. Yearly plans are a 12-month commitment.
Don't expect researched long-form articles, SEO data, or CMS publishing. In December 2024 the FTC approved a consent order that bars Rytr from selling any service promoted as generating consumer reviews or testimonials. It's a settlement, not a finding of guilt. Rytr showed 4.4 out of 5 from 2,449 Trustpilot reviews on 23 September 2026.
For Governed Teams and Everyday Writing
Two opposite answers to "we need AI for the whole team." One adds more control than Jasper Pro. The other trades control for cheaper seats.
7. WRITER: the closest thing to Jasper Business
If brand and compliance controls are why you bought Jasper, WRITER is the closest match to its Business plan. It calls itself "The enterprise AI platform for agentic work," under the line "Not a tool you prompt. An agent you delegate to." Teams get an agent for chat and automation, reusable workflows called Playbooks, a Knowledge Graph of company context, and voice profiles that apply brand rules to the output.
Enterprise adds departmental voice profiles, SSO, SCIM, and audit logs. WRITER describes a "zero data retention approach" and shares SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA reports with Enterprise customers on request. Its connectors push content into Contentful, Adobe Experience Manager, and Webflow. No WordPress connector is listed.
The Starter plan showed $39 a user a month, or $29 yearly, until late 2025. Then the price came off the page. Starter allows 5 users, 5 Playbooks, one team voice profile, and 3 active connectors, with a 14-day trial that doesn't ask for a card. AI search tracking isn't its focus, and refunds are at WRITER's discretion. It suits large marketing teams in regulated industries best.
8. ChatGPT Business and Claude Team: $25 seats for everyday writing
Plenty of teams swap Jasper for a general assistant. In September 2026 the team plans of ChatGPT and Claude cost the same: $25 a seat a month, or $20 yearly, with a two-seat minimum. Premium seats with five times the usage are $125, or $100 yearly, and you can mix seat types. Five standard seats cost $125 a month, while Jasper Pro covers one person for $69.
- ChatGPT Business, renamed from ChatGPT Team in August 2025, includes custom GPTs, Projects, Apps, Company Knowledge, ChatGPT Agent, and Deep Research.
- Claude Team, sold "for teams of 2 to 150," includes shared Projects, Skills you can deploy across the organization, connectors, web research, file creation, and org-wide instructions.
Neither trains on your business content by default, and neither is a marketing product. With no brand-voice module, style-guide check, content calendar, or approval flow, house style lives in the Projects, GPTs, or Skills you set up. There's no SEO data or CMS publishing, every seat has usage limits, and Claude lists no trial for Team. If you want article research in the same window, Rankbox's research tools connect to both through MCP.
For AI Search Tracking Without a Sales Call
Jasper's GEO Hub comes with a Business contract. Writesonic is the only one of these Jasper alternatives built mainly around tracking, and it's sold off the shelf.
9. Writesonic: AI answer tracking with articles included
Writesonic appeared on all 13 lists of Jasper alternatives we read, and it's a different product now. Its homepage calls it "The AI Search Growth Engine." It tracks how AI assistants mention your brand and has an SEO article writer built in.
The Starter plan covers ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews at "50 prompts, 50 answers tracked daily," plus 15 AI articles a month for one user. Writesonic says its articles run 3,000 to 8,000 words with verified citations, and they publish to WordPress, Sanity, Contentful, Webflow, and Ghost once you approve them.
Starter is $99 a month, or $79 yearly. Basic is $249, or $199, with 25 articles and two users, and Growth is $499, or $399, with 50 articles and three. Extra users on those two plans are $50 a month each, up to five in all, so five people on Basic cost $399. The 7-day trial doesn't ask for a card, and there's a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund.
Self-serve plans watch three engines; Perplexity, Claude, and the rest are Enterprise-only. With tracking in the price, Starter works out to $6.60 an article, and ads and email come from one general Content Agent. See our Jasper vs Writesonic comparison and Writesonic alternatives.
What Five Seats Cost
Jasper alternatives charge by seats, articles, prompts, or words. For a marketing team, seats usually decide it, so here is one five-person team priced on each. Asterisks mark our arithmetic.
| Tool | Entry plan, monthly | Seats included | Five people, monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jasper | $69 ($59 yearly) | 1, the maximum | Business quote |
| Rankbox | $49.50 (no yearly plan) | One login | Not sold by the seat |
| Copy.ai | $29 ($24 yearly) | 5 | $29, chat only |
| ChatGPT Business | $50 for 2* ($40 yearly) | 2 minimum | $125* |
| Claude Team | $50 for 2* ($40 yearly) | 2 minimum | $125* |
| Frase | $49 ($39 yearly) | 1 | $187* on Professional |
| Anyword | $49 ($39 yearly) | 1 | $217* on Data-Driven |
| Surfer | $59 ($49 yearly) | 1 | $219 on Pro |
| Writesonic | $99 ($79 yearly) | 1 | $399* on Basic |
| WRITER | Not published | Up to 5 | Not published |
| Rytr | $9 ($7.50 yearly) | 1 | No team plan |
The Frase, Anyword, Surfer, and Writesonic figures use the cheapest plan that allows five people, plus paid seats.
If the blog is the whole job
Jasper Pro sets no article quota, so its real cost per article is $69 plus the hours your team spends prompting, editing, and publishing.
| Tool and plan | Articles a month | Monthly price | Per article |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rankbox | 30 | $49.50 | $1.65 |
| Frase Starter | 10 | $49 | $4.90* |
| Frase Professional | 40 | $129 | $3.23* |
| Writesonic Starter | 15 | $99 | $6.60* |
| Writesonic Basic | 25 | $249 | $9.96* |
Rankbox has the lowest per-article price of the tools that state a count, but Frase and Writesonic also include an editor and AI tracking. Nor is Rankbox the cheapest subscription: Rytr, Copy.ai, Anyword, and Frase all cost less a month, and Surfer's Discovery comes to $49 a month billed yearly. As our cheap SEO guide advises, stay monthly until a tool earns a yearly plan.
Keep Jasper If One of These Is True
Jasper covers more ground than any one pick above. Before you switch to any of these Jasper alternatives, check these four.
- You write for every channel. Jasper's agents cover ads, email, social, web copy, press releases, and product descriptions, plus an image suite. Most picks here cover part of that range, and Rankbox covers only articles.
- Brand rules span a whole marketing org. Jasper IQ holds Brand Voice, Knowledge, and Audiences, and Business adds a Style Guide and Visual Guidelines. Jasper lists SSO, SCIM, and SOC 2 Type II.
- You want AI tracking and fixes on one contract. On Business, GEO Hub watches four AI engines and the GEO Agent drafts fixes. Rankbox has no live citation monitoring yet.
- You produce in bulk or in many languages. Grid, on Business, runs generation at scale, such as thousands of product descriptions, and the Translation Agent covers 27 languages.
If one of those decides it, Jasper's price buys something real, and nonprofits get 20% off. You can also keep Jasper for channel copy and give the blog to another tool; our page for marketers shows how Rankbox fits that split.
Leaving Jasper Without Losing Work
Whichever Jasper alternatives you pick, the pages you've published live on your own site and stay put. Then work through this list.
- Save your brand context. Put Brand Voice notes, style rules, audiences, and knowledge documents in a file you own.
- Export your drafts. Jasper downloads Word, PDF, text, or Markdown files, and exports to Google Drive, SharePoint, or Box once an admin allows it.
- Pause rather than cancel. A monthly Pro plan can pause for 30 days while you trial a replacement. A yearly plan is a 12-month commitment once its 7-day refund window closes.
- Keep ranking URLs. If a page has to move, 301-redirect it. Our redirect generator writes the rules.
- Test on real work. Time a brief you'd have given Jasper all the way to a publishable page, on a topic you haven't covered, so two articles don't fight over one query (keyword cannibalization).
If the blog is what you'd hand off, Rankbox's 7-day trial writes up to 7 articles for your site, enough to set beside what Jasper gave you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best Jasper alternative?
It depends on the job, because Jasper alternatives tend to do one of Jasper's jobs well rather than all of them. Rankbox fits SEO articles delivered on a schedule, at $49.50 a month for 30 articles. Anyword fits ads and email, WRITER fits enterprise governance, and ChatGPT Business or Claude Team fits cheap everyday seats at $25 each.
Is there a free or cheaper alternative to Jasper?
Rytr has a free plan with 10,000 characters a month, and its Unlimited plan is $9 a month. Copy.ai's Chat plan covers five seats for $29 a month, against $69 for one seat on Jasper Pro. Most other Jasper alternatives offer trials rather than free plans, including Rankbox, WRITER, Anyword, Writesonic, Frase, and Surfer.
Can I use ChatGPT instead of Jasper?
For everyday drafting, yes, and many teams do. ChatGPT Business costs $25 a seat a month with a two-seat minimum and includes Projects, custom GPTs, and Deep Research. You give up marketing structure, such as brand-voice rules, style-guide checks, and channel agents, and rebuild it with your own instructions.
Which Jasper alternatives publish straight to WordPress?
Frase, Writesonic, and Surfer's Standard plan connect to WordPress. Rankbox delivers through its publishing API today, with a WordPress plugin in development. WRITER and Anyword list no WordPress connector, and Jasper reaches WordPress through Zapier or Make.
Is Jasper worth it in 2026?
It can be, for marketing teams writing across many channels under strict brand rules, especially on Business with GEO Hub and Grid. If your team mostly needs blog posts, or you work alone on a tight budget, several Jasper alternatives above cost less for that narrower job.
